SF-Seal-Lac

Seal-Lac is a sealer that should be applied before any finish is applied.

Seal-Lac is our own formulation of shellac and other natural resins. As a thermoplastic resin, shellac is an excellent sealer and a very good interface with other solvent borne finishes. Its adhesive qualities are legendary. Hence it is always a good idea to use Seal-Lac as a sealer before application of any solvent borne finish.

Due to its higher solids content, Seal-Lac is also a good pore filler for some open pored woods like Walnut, Cherry etc.

Seal-Lac can also be used a finish in its own right. It will finish off just like shellac with high shine.
